Hello everyone and welcome to Coffee Diary #3! Today's coffee post is the "cafe mocha" from Good Morning Coffee at The Garden of MorningCalm.
Can I just say how cute the presentation of my coffee is? I love the heart shaped foam art my barista did and the "Beautiful Life" words on the sleeve. I took a different picture of this drink but I thought with the lid on the side made it more cool. The only problem with the picture (not that anyone noticed, probably) I actually took a sip so you can see the foam kind of downwards at the front. Not that it matters, but if you are like me, you'll notice small things and that's all you see.
I believe this costs about 4,000-5,000 won or about $3-$4. They only came with one size, I think. Honestly, I am an avid iced coffee drinker, winter or summer, but because of how serene the place looked, I thought a warm drink would suffice. And may I say, this was a really hot day!
As for taste, I don't remember it but I did finish it and usually if I don't like a drink (too strong, not sweet, etc) I will not finish it. I just remember sweating from drinking a warm drink on Seoul's hottest days. Mocha is a chocolaty type of coffee. It adds more thickness to regular coffee. That could be from the cream as well.
Inside was very spacious. Although this entrance was a one floor cafe, if you go back outside and follow the downhill path, a bakery is actually underneath the cafe. When you are inside, there's a bit of a gap from the cafe itself from the tables/couches. They also used a pager for your orders to notify you when your order is ready.
Also, they have a few windows that overlook nature's beautiful scenery. So, if you visit and there's a table open, do sit there, you will feel why it's called Garden of Morning calm. Even if there are people chitchatting, it's still pretty quiet. Another thing to like about the scenery is that because it is a quiet place, you have to respect the garden by keeping your voice at a minimum tone.
Overall, I enjoyed Good Morning Coffee and The Garden of MorningCalm. I hope to visit again the next time I take a trip to South Korea.
Thank you everyone. Until next time...
